Fête
The main fund-raising event of the year is the fête to be held on 21st June. This year we would like the proceeds to update our reading scheme and also to provide further outdoor equipment. Your help in raising these funds is vital. You will be asked to volunteer to run a stall on a ‘buddy system’ – either another parent or family member – so that everyone can enjoy the fête.
Storysacks
Please remember to return the sack on time in order for them to be checked.
Water Bottles
Hopefully, the weather will improve this term, and we will be able to go outside as much as possible. Water is available to every child, but we do ask you to provide a water bottle. A water bottle is allowed in the classrooms to be available throughout the day, a plastic cup is not allowed due to spillages. If every child has to queue for a drink of water at the end of playtimes then no teaching or learning would take place. Any small bottle can be used, but we still have a few water bottles for sale at £1 each. Please ensure that all bottles are named.
Lost Property
We have several sweatshirts and cardigans in our lost property box. If you think your child has lost one, please ask to see the box as soon as possible. If there are any unclaimed items left at the end of May, they will be available to purchase for a small donation to school funds (many of them are in good condition).
Guinea Pigs
Four male guinea pigs with cages are looking for good homes. If you are interested, please contact the school.
London Marathon
Thanks go to Stuart Blaylock (Katie-Jane’s uncle) for completing the London Marathon and his donation to the school. Thank you also to those who sponsored him.
Yours sincerely
Mrs E Ramm
